Anything else to do with UIM out of the way?

I'm "resurrecting" my 87 GXL after 2 years of neglect. The cars always had what I think is leaky fuel injectors. So I've taken them out to ship for service. I've got the gasket on order, plan on spark plugs, wires, oil change, new belts, and found a few grounds to clean up under there (I've had the sticky starter too.) So is there anything else I can do now that it would be easier with the UIM out of the way?

Depends on if you are doing the emission delete, you could remove the rats nest and run new fuel line to the filter and firewall, and also you could re-do you OMP lines.

Pulsation dampener or banjo bolt
Clean/Dielectric grease on the ground on top of the engine [bolted down to one of the holes on the rear housing]

Yea I saw that ground, that's on my list to clean and replace bolt. I did notice a ground on the top of the tranny housing that lead to nowhere, I mean the ground was there with the wire but the wire wasn't connected to anything. I think I remember reading about that one in a regrounding thread. I'm gonna have to find it an read it again.

Replace vacuum lines with silicone lines. Relatively cheap and easy to do.
Replace fuel lines and clamps. Smart thing to do.
The pulsation damper is a good one too. Very smart thing to do.
As is the oil metering lines. Make sure the oil injectors function properly while you're at it.
If you still have a EGR valve, make sure it holds vacuum. If it doesn't, i got by for a couple years by stuffing silicone sealer around the diaphragm. Not pretty, but it worked.
Good time to check your coolant lines and nipples that run around there.
If yours is NA, consider checking the operation of the 5/6 port valves; taking the LIM off now will be easier if you want to clean them up or do the Pineapple/Atkins mod.

Oh, and enjoy yourself while you're at it!
