s5 and s4 engines

s5 and s4 engines

I have an s4 chassis and am about to buy and s5 engine with a turbo counter weight do I have to change the counter weight to an s5 or can I use ther turbo or s4 weights.? And is there anything else I need to know .?

no.. you keep the mass as is on the s5 engine
.. if turbo then purchase a billet 9.5 inch flywheel and this bolts directly to the auto mass and then everything fits up

if NA engine .. you buy the 9.0 inch type light flywheel

else.. you find a manual OEM cast iron flywheel from the correct s5 manual engine.. and fit it up
n350 is s5 NA.. N370 is s5 .. cast onto back of oem flywheels

( involves undoing the big crank nut )

and PS.. you can headfuck changing the wiring and ecus ... or you fit the s4 ecu up as it was
( and bypass the ballast resister for injectors )

then fit the jason dixon eomp controller to run the EOMP

( or swap all the s4 fruit and timing cover over instead so the entire engine is basically s4'd )

Ok so I can't use my s4 counter weight the engine I'm buying has a turbo weight on it and its going into a manual s4 so I have to get and s5 flywheel and s5 weight

.. if you have a counter weight engine it is an auto..
the manual engine instead has this mass built into the rear of the cast iron flywheel

clearly s4 auto mass.. and s4 manual flywheel is different to s5 units... so its no good for use on the s5 engine

the billet light flywheel bolts up to an auto counter weight ...the s5 engine already has the right one on it ..
, you dont need or want a shitty old iron cracked up flywheel.. ,,you just need a billet flywheel !!

safer, lighter.... doesnt need to crack the big nut,, just bolt up and go

all you need to do is work out if you have a turbo .. or not .. cause the boxes for each demand different flywheels/clutches

turbo is 9.5 inch style.. NA is 9.0 inch style./...

so.. when you pick the right one.. your old clutch will just swap over

Oh alright both engines came off from out of a manual sorry for sounding dumb I'm quite new to the rotary so I'm going to have to get an s5 flywheel and that's all correct
