anyone try mirrors from other cars?

I have come to realize that most mirrors have the same mounting system. Basically a triangle shape attaches to the door. Has anyone found any other cars that their mirrors are a direct bolt-on? Or maybe some that just need some minor trimming or something? I am going to try with a friends protege's mirrors and see. Just seems like most other cars mirrors are like less than a $100 a set.

if you want to go drift style, use motorcycle mirrors. Looks sick.

I had a friend put baby vitaloni mirrors on his seven- looks good, but he had to fab them a little to get them to fit properly.

Yea actually i have been thinking this same thing, There are several aftermarket mirrors that i like that are pretty cheap, And even some other cars that have nice ones that they dont offer for the FC in like carbon fiber, kevlar, and just some different trick *** ****. I think i am gonna get some carbon ones i saw for 240's They looked killer, yea i may have to do a little tinkering for them to fit, but damn they look awesome

yeah, I have seen "motorcycle style" mirrors on a few cars over the past year or so. at one point, I think there was a set of mirrors offered for the FD that mounted on the fenders??? they looked pretty sick. has anyone done this modification, or something similar?? pics if ya got em please! It's a real different look, something you don't see on cars around here, i wonder if there are and advantages/disadvantages, except for less adjustability access????

What I would really like is something like the Ferrari Testarossa, were the mirrors are mounted in the A-pillar.
