Yea I dont know if its worth the trouble! Sure its cool but I honestly wouldn't trust a hydrolic lift to hold the hood while im working under it. But then again I am completely ******* paranoid when it comes to safety lol!

If its Alu I would be concerned with the hood bending as your trying to compress the shoeck when you lower the hood. Not much to them.

My HB Cosmo had torsion bars on the hood. It took almost no effort to lift and required no prop to hold it up. I miss that...

I think gas struts are a pretty good idea. The trick would be making sure it fit with the hood down, but I don't think it'd be too difficult.

Bending the hood? Ah, no...

Well I guess you could always leave the manual stand there for safety measures ? I mean the hydrolic bars would go on the sides right ? Seems like maybe you can keep the manual one there and use it for working under the hood for long periods of time ? Dunno...

that would be pretty cool, but I wouldnt use the money to do that, It works fine how it is, and is prolly lighter that way

I wonder if you could pull of the system from a camaro like my friends 91 and make it work.

I woudl assume you would have to fab the mounts and maybe trim it to fit under the hood but damn would that be nice to have.

Instead of juggling the prop and hood while quickly checking some thing real quick.

Why bother? Gas struts (they're not hydraulic) will hold it up indefinitely if they've been selected right and aren't worn out. Many cars have them fitted stock to both hood and/or hatch.
