anyone Running a rotary over 200k
Anyone hear of a rotary running 200k+ without a rebuild? mine is at 125k my 88 n/a i hear about many people that hit 124k and they need to rebuild!

there are atleast a few. And no if you hit 124k your engine wont majically blow up. It depends on how well the engine was/is treated and what kind of abuse its seen. Many people take their N/a's to 180+k miles TII's are a bit less they tend to blow sooner since they live life under boost.

true! i rather have reliability rather than Turbo! i love my n/a im kinda glad it isnt turbo. i just like a good working rx7 so far thats what i got! i got it at 121k two months ago i allready put 4k on it i now have 125 k But thats just because i was driving far to this one job i was working at! now i dont drive that much! so i am taking it easy on the thing now! no smoke so far! only fuel smoke at start up and thats it.

ya i know plenty of ppl around here runnin like 150 that don't take too good of care (eg high school kids... first car... dont know jack about the engine...)
When I was a high school kid and this was my first car, i took good care of my first 86 base model and ran it to 220 w.o a rebuild

Ran my 1st '87 NA for 181k and it was still running great when a bonehead blew through a light and ruined it.
I'm up to 178k on my '87TII (insurance replacement) and it is also running great - except for a small coolant leak I'm trying to fix. Othern That, it's fine. No excessive oil consumption and starts every time.
Looking toward 200k at least before tear down time.

i know a guy with 206,000miles on his 87 t2, he bought it new it has 1 ding in it. engine and turbo have never been out of the car
