there are atleast a few. And no if you hit 124k your engine wont majically blow up. It depends on how well the engine was/is treated and what kind of abuse its seen. Many people take their N/a's to 180+k miles TII's are a bit less they tend to blow sooner since they live life under boost.

true! i rather have reliability rather than Turbo! i love my n/a im kinda glad it isnt turbo. i just like a good working rx7 so far thats what i got! i got it at 121k two months ago i allready put 4k on it i now have 125 k But thats just because i was driving far to this one job i was working at! now i dont drive that much! so i am taking it easy on the thing now! no smoke so far! only fuel smoke at start up and thats it.

When I was a high school kid and this was my first car, i took good care of my first 86 base model and ran it to 220 w.o a rebuild

169k and still runs good. Completely stock.

If you abuse it, you will pay for it.

Ran my 1st '87 NA for 181k and it was still running great when a bonehead blew through a light and ruined it.
I'm up to 178k on my '87TII (insurance replacement) and it is also running great - except for a small coolant leak I'm trying to fix. Othern That, it's fine. No excessive oil consumption and starts every time.
Looking toward 200k at least before tear down time.

My uncle's SA(1979) RX ran 400,000+ miles when he sold it, was still running strong. He has pics of the odometer . All he did was routine tune-ups oil changes and spark plug changes. Pretty crazy!
