Anyone Running mazdatrix's UDP

I just ordered one for my car and i was woundering if any of you guy's are running it and is it helping you out at autox, or what ever it is you do. I know what you pay is what you get but ive seen other UDP's go for up to 200 bucks and i got this for 65 bucks. so what i am trying to say is... was it a good buy or did i just waste my money?

also what about the SMP Thermal Pellet Bypass would that be a good buy since i am replacing the pulley and ill be in there anyways?

UDP = Universal Datagram Protocal
SMP = Symetric Multi Processing

Two acronyms I have never heard applied to RX-7s before. Can you be a little more specific in what you are looking for?

You don't need the thermal pellet bypass unless your thermal pellet has already failed.

LOL I was about to launch into a geek rant, but I think you covered it.

If the MT Under drive pulley is like the RB one I have the set laying in my room somewhere...

Here I'll do it for you

UDP: Universal Datagram Protocol, a connection-less protocol. Part of the Transport layer of the OSI model. Primarily used in TFTP and DNS applications.

SMP: 3 out of 4 letters in the accronym SNMP, or Simple Network Management Protocol. Allows management of Routers and Switches from a tech's desk.

It would be a good idea to replace the thermo pellet since your in there anyway.

Also 3 out of 4 letters of SMTP, or Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, used for e-mail applications.

In the past i ran an Unorthodox Racing underdrive pulley on my 86 N/A and my 88t2 before my atkins rebuild(couldnt use it due to warranty). i never had either car on a dyno before or after it was installed, but i think the cars were able to get thru the rpm band quicker and i had better throttle response, i did some autocrossing with it too. you will just have to try one for yourself and see how it affects your car. good luck.

I hope your cooling and charging systems are at 100%, because when you put that pulley on they'll be at 80%...

And if its at 94% its 74%. I suggest not running an e-fan or subs with it.

I thought UDP was under down pipe. Oh well.

*******How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb? *******

that above is from NZ's post. He spelled it light bulb. It should be *lite bulb* for a RX to keep the weight down. It's a RX-7 mod. We've discussed this weight savings too many times in the past and need to go on to some other subject other than lite bulbS and weight saving. It's written in the FSM in section thirty three, sub section five, page 12. This post should be sent to the weight savings section of the forum. I'll post several URL's later to demonstrate how this thread should have been handled.
