is anyone running the knockoff wastegates?
i jsut got one when i got my turbo.. and im debating on using it for alittle while till i can get a nice tial,
first off dont start flaming or hating.
second off i just want to know horror stories and good stuff if there is ?

yes. 50mm hks replica with original hks spring. No horror stories.

as important as a wastegate is...meaning if it fails you lose your motor...you question if its ok to cheap out?

No offense to the poster above but you(the op) should have requested that only those with experience should post. If the above poster has a horror story OF HIS OWN not his cousin or guy at the Burger King or the dude who drives the Talon then he should share it. Not his opinon. No offense, lol.
