lookin for cheap and used and such, dont even know the exact name for this piece though,

the radiator hose runs to this, basicly what happened was the owner before me broke off the overflow nozzle, so he jb welded the tube with the nozzle still in it back to the neck piece, and it came off the other day while i was driving, sprayed coolant everywhere

the tube and such

where it connected

just a close up

anyone know where i can get one of these cheap and used? or if the other years used the same part, and i could just go to pick and pull and yank one off

Eh?

I think he's talking about plastic mount where the cap goes on, and how he broke his nipple off of it (looks like) for the overflow bottle. I've never seen those at auto parts stores, just the caps.

Mazdatrix.com carries OEM replacements for the mount or caps, whatever you need.

Hah, wow it's $43.79 from mazdatrix. Try the for sale section on the board, someone might have one on a parts car or something they can sell you for cheap.

The whole neck? You can replace JUST the plastic mount that has the overflow tube come off of it, you don't need to replace the whole neck. Unless you cracked that too? In that case, check FS section for that too, I've bought 2 through there fairly cheap.

the nipple broke off inside the hole, i cant get it out, and dont have a dill bit to drill it out with, it shouldnt cost more than a few dollars for the whole neck at pick n pull, and if they want too much, ill just take the nipple, and then find a bit to drill out the hole on tis neck

Look at this pic

You don't really need to replace the whole neck, but if you want to you can. Yours is J, K is for later model s4's. That whole plastic piece unbolts if you care, but like you said you can get the whole neck too.

Also, not just any neck will work, only 86 model s4's WITH overflow tube on that part. Not all s4's had them, and s5's are completely different, just FYI.
