anyone know how to do engine swap on a fc?

hey just wondering what i should after i take out the front suspension on the fc and the radiator, battery and all that stuff can i just practicly just take off my engine mount from the there because i have the cherry picker and the engine lifter and everything ready but now im thinking of using a tow rope to lift my engine with the engine lifter instead of with the cherry picker because i dont know which bolts to screw out to hold the engine tightly enough so it wont fall went i take of the mounts.

if anybody knows how to do so please write back if you read this thread or lead me to an expert. im frustrated

If your radiator shroud is out you should be able to lift out the engine. You don’t need to remove the radiator, battery tray, front suspension (overkill) Remove the engine with the tranny because it’s much easer that way. You just need to check for hoses and wires connecting your engine to your chassis and unbolt the motor mounts. Hook up your cherry picker to stable support mounts anywhere you think can support 300-400 pounds then make sure your shift **** is disconnected. You will also have to remove tranny mounts but it should be able to drop down an out pretty easy. I think it’s almost required that your FC is lifted off the ground so the rear end of the tranny can drop far enough, removing your shifter assembly makes this a lot easer.

uhh removing the motor is a no brainer just disconnect everything tounching the motor BUT COLOR LABEL EVERYTHING IF ITS YOUR FIRST TIME! then pull it up, use a cherrypicker there are mounts on the block after you remove the manifold that you can connect the chain hooks to. then your good to go. the installing it back in is the difficult part.... vaccum hoses suck ***
