Anyone know 0-60 and 1/4m times and difs for stock 89+ FCs

I looked at https://www.rx7club.com/resources/cardata.asp and it lists 0-60 as 7.9 and 1/4 as 16.1 for the 86 GXL. Anyone know the stock numbers for the 89+ GXL/GTU's. Cause I know there is a HP increase (148 86-88/160 89-91). Also are there any other changes on the 89+'s from the others other than HP and the rear light change

Try this site under performance database for the times. The 89+ has diff. mirrors, front bumper, gauges are circles instead of the triangle with a round side. cant think of anything else right now but im sure if you searched for that something would come up from past posts.

Based on all the tests done by magazine, 89+ cars are usually slower due to its massive weight. The 89+ also got thicker sound deadening material, heavier parts (hood, spare, jack), different sway bar mount, upgraded tranny, diff and many little things here and there. Way too many to mention

According to this site,
1986 weight = 2625lbs with 146hp@6500 equals 17.97lbs/hp
1989 weight = 2800lbs with 160hp@7000 equals 17.50lbs/hp

Clearly, we see that the series 5 engine has a better power to weight ratio.

Also, the series 5 engine's hp peaks at a higher RPM. I am assuming this higher peak hp is due to the VDI, lighter rotors and higher compression....(forgive me if I missed any)...
So lets say the power curve of both engines are the same until the VDI activates on the series 5 engine. When it activates, the power continues to come whereas the series 4 would level out.
The series 4 engine will have to shift whereas the series 5 can continue until it's hp peak, and then shift. This lets the series 5 engine to stay deeper into the powerband = more power = faster.

You can also verify that the series 5 engine will be faster than the series 4 engine powered cars by taking the integration of the torque curve from 0-5252RPM and hp curve from 5252-8000RPM. The number you get will be the total power from the engine from 0-8000rpm. Then take the weight of the car and divided by this number. The engine with the lower number will be faster.

Just my thoughts, please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks

btw, I don't have automatic seatbelts too. I think it's only in the US.

I am so serious. By #, 89+ are suppose to be faster. but I still havent seen a 89+ that is fast at dragging yet. 86-88 seem to have better times. But hte otp end on the 89 is faster. My fastest time to date is 16.75 @ 85mph. I got a 90 GXL. Only mod is gutted cats
