i would sell it if i could. i going for perfomance and reliability in my car. so i dont know if i should just keep it and take it apart a couple times just for learning sake.

If i rebuilt it what kind of money could i get for it?

Most people take them apart and sell the useable parts, if you dont need to use it for a core for your own rebuild. Cores sell whole (block) for $100-200USD most of the time, depending on condition. IF it blew apex seals, you're going to find a destroyed rotor and rotorhousing, so half of it is unuseable regardless.

It'll be hard for you to sell a rebuild if you've never even done one yourself. It's a bad idea for you, and a worse idea for the person that buys it. No offense, but who is to say that it is done correctly? I wouldn't want to be the person buying a rebuild from joe schmoe, who had never done one previously, or even seen inside one. Not exactly confidence inspiring, you know. Because of this, you would probably only get a few hundred USD out of it. Barely enough to cover the cost of the replacement rotor and housing, and seals/gaskets, if that.

Depends on the condition of the blown engine. If the parts aren't usable at all, you can always sell it as a display rotor and housing.

Where abouts do you live? I'm near barrie on. I'd be interested in the motor. But if you want I can do a rebuild for you. Port and polish if you like. I also do a lot of fabrication. PM me if you're interested.

i thought doing a rebuild would be easy enough, 2 tear downs on my engine later and still having problems with no simple reason for failure has given me a reason to only trust a reputable rotary builder.

However I'm not interested in one that's already built and unless you've built them before you'll have a hard time getting more than $500-600. At least that's what most of the guys in my area are like.

Dang, you're in Canada. I've always wanted to get a hold of a busted 13b just to rip it apart and play with it. Rebuilding would be fun if I had the time and money to do it.

I was actually almost tempted to try and get a core from the u pull it yard for cheap, rebuild it, and save it for the day I find a cheap TII with a blown motor (like that'll happen in my area).
