I bet you dont have any.... I was one of the first with an HID kit along with headlight convertion. I can tell you that after driving with the POS stock lights for a while, it actually feels good to actually see more than 3 feet infront of you... When I was driving the maxima, people would still flash their high beams at me thinking I had mine on, but as soon as I hit my highbeams, I could actually see their expressions from looking inside the car... I hate people that cant take a lil bright light for a moment..

Yep, that's the problem.
OEM installs have a very complex alignment system which is very expensive to retrofit to non-HID vehicles.
You can't just expect to drop in a set of HID "lamps" and have them work as OEM applications.
This is why in Hawaii (at least in Honolulu), it's a big fine to retrofit your non-HID vehcile with some kind of HID lighting, period.

if the HID didnt come stock on the car its not legal what so ever even tho the headlights say DOT approved and the HID say DOT approved.

I got HID tho and i love them. I work at a dealership and my shop forman is a sheriff. I live in CA.

I'll have a post on my car soon. I'm almost done with mycustom headlights.

It depends on what cars... I had a maxima and the alignment was like that of regular halogen bulbs... The only difference is the housing itself, which have cutoff's... now what you said applies to the more expensive cars like lexus, bmw and such.. For example the Is300 has autoadjusting headlights.

Yeah, that was it...the self-leveling system that drops the aim when you're driving up a ramp or something.
This was the beef the local authorities were bitching about that they didn't want to see retrofit kits made legal, so they made it across-the-board illegal.

Yea but only a few cars out there have'em. Not all cars that have HID's come with it.
