Anyone heard of JDM Tiger Japanese?
I bought 2 turbo II engines... one for a s4 and one for a s5. They sent me two s5's and one of them had 0 compression on both housings.

well, i read on the forums here and there... you should think twice before buying from websites. most issues talked about is, how long has these motors been sitting around? and by the time you buy them, you'll need to rebuild them.
some actually got a clean motor that ran as soon as they got it, but more over looked are the facts.

sure i've heard of them, when you get your motor it will look like they dropped it off the face of a cliff and ran it over with a dump truck! oh and it will have been sitting around with for 5 years in some canadian junk yard. But the shipping is cheap!

i havent seen one used engine seller that waranty rotary motors. a friend bought a honda motor form tiger and they warrantied it. It was in decent working order when it arrived.
Rotaries on the other hand seem to be about 50/50 chance you are getting garbage.
the general consensus here is not to buy used rotary motors unless you know the person you are buying it from... ends up being cheaper to rebuild your own motor.

This is where I'm planning to get my motor from. Everyone I've talked seems to have had a good experience with him and he owns rotary powered cars so he obviously must know a bit about them.
I was going to get one from tiger but have heard more than enough horror stories to not want to get one from them anymore, and when I talked to the guy on the phone he seemed like a really shady character. They claim to have a 30 day startup guarantee so if it's been less than that give it a try, but from what I've been told don't hold your breath.
And for the guy that said it's cheaper to rebuild the one you have, this can be hard to do if your doing an engine swap. As in my case, no engine to rebuild.

I highly Doubt if you have a Leg to Stand on Really..since the customer "really" bought the Engine from You..(not Tiger Japanese)..You were acting as His agent,Therefore you should have "known" about the Shop and their Practices. You didn't do your Homework and it comes back to Bite you in the butt..The Only Thing that those Engines are Good for,are For PARTS,or rebuild...I would definitely Go With JAPAN2LA.He is Very Well known,Cares about His Customers,is Communicative, and if anything is Wrong,he will Do his Best to make it Right..I wish you Luck.

I got my s5 turbo ii motor from tiger before i read any fourms at all, well i lucked out and got a damn good motor...
but ive heard so many bad things from them after i bought mine and i just prayed that it would run good. and it does, very good compression, turbo still spools very well, i cant tell that theres anything wrong with it..
it came with a knightsports alt. pulley and the selinoid from a greddy boost controlelr lol...and some rigged up idle timing red and green light...
i was afraid it was going to be a blown motor when i saw the remains of a boost controller and the shifter was griped down to ****...but its still realy good. luckly.
so im happy =] and yes, they give waranties though..

yea Ive bought from them. I bought a Honda b20b and it was in pretty good condition. The only complaint I have about them is my oil pan was punctured when I got it. I also had my motor about 3 days after I bought it and a 90 day start up. I was going to buy a 13b from them but they dont give warranty for rotary motors

I bought my S4 engine from them knowing that I was gonna rebuild it anyway. It definately looked like it was sitting around for years. I rebuilt it and now it's running good. They are the cheapest but I guess I lucked out.

this was probably from rx7world.com. there not used motors though they are all rebuilt. he sells them on ebay to get a wider audience. i have one of his motors right now. however i didn't buy through ebay. i found him on ebay and ordered it through his website. were i was able to add different things to the build. made it a little more personal. his name is ernst and he builds one good motor and he has great customer service. answered all my questions while i was installing my engine.
