anyone heard of this: FC Cross Mission Kit For 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Gear

I was surfing around and came across:

FC & FD Cross Mission Kit For 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Gear
With this kit, 1st gear at 8000rpm was 60kpm will be 80kph. Beginning of 2nd Gear would normally drops to 4000rpm, but with cross mission, it will stay high at 5000 rpm. Gear Ratio: 1st Gear (2.887), 2nd Gear (1.996), 3rd Gear (1.397)

This kit means WORSE acceleration but more top speed on gears 1-3. These ratios are very high. I don't know why someone would want to do that, unless they have a massive turbo and want to keep it spooling longer. Maybe this is usefull in extreme drag racing if you're using nitrous to get the car going down low?

In big powered FC's, 1st gear is useless.
I welcome a taller first gear.

I dunno why they went with a closer 2nd though...
That makes you just shift more. :P

It smells like a rebadged OS Giken kit.
OS Giken has had those gears out for several years now.
It's been a well-kept secret, but I think the cat is out of the bag now.

The only real difference I see in the kit is the fact that first gear is taller, which means that when you shift to second, you'll be going faster, so even if the gear ratio remains the same, you'll be at a higher rpm after you shift. Is there a reason why they have to sell all of the first three gears? I ask because the second and third gear's ratios on this kit are virtually identical to a TII transmission. Is it because gears 1-3 are clustered together?
