Anyone have pics of a modified interior?
Could someone please post a good pic of a modified interior of an FC. I need one for my how-to section for 2nd gens.
I am looking for a shot that shows a lot, like these:
Thanks.

yeah well i think that i really really would like to mod my interior but know **** about that kind of stuff! so yeah it would be like me trying to fly without the help of my glider!!!! lol
All I have is the pic of my stereo ead unit, DSP, and S-AFC, before I cut the ashtray lid surround for it. It's a really bad quality pic too.
I also have sanded and drilled out my bare aluminum pedals.

I have some cool *** aftermarket pedals. they cost me a cool $19.99 plus uncle sams cut of 8.3%. There super girp and insane styling make all the people that don't know a damn thing about cars think that I am a total bad ***. They also make me feel good about my self.

I pray that you never, ever get into a serious accident with those harnesses on.
Seriously, please reconsider that placement, the way you have it is a classic way to get spinal compression in an accident.

Paul C is VERY correct- you need a harness bar to mount those shoulder belts to, or a rollbar with a horizontal brace behind the seat.
Think about what will happen if you are in a frontal collision: what direction you will be moving, and how the belts are going to resist your motion. You will be in a world of hurt the way they are mounted now- not to mention a bit shorter....

If I could just combine 3 or 4 or your cars into one shot it would be perfect
I've been sticking with dash shots so that you can look at the pic and tell which car it came from. Even if it was a shot of a car that had only changed out the gauge faces and added an extra gauge or something, that would work fine.

Yes and no. If you can mount it (SAFELY) around the floor in the hatch, then yes, it would be ok from a spinal compression standpoint. However, the problem there is that the longer webbing will now stretch more in the event of a serious high G accident. I don't think that's a huge huge risk, I would probably be ok with it, but in no way am I telling *you* or anyone else that it's ok.
How's that for CYA

At what angle does it start to become "acceptable?"
Also, it would seem that a slight bit more (6-7mm)stretching in the webbing would be a positive thing. We can assume that the webbing would stretch more, but it would take a longer time to do so, which would mean a slower, uh, "decelleration" of the harnessed individual, no? Like how the newer seatbelt systems actually let out a very small amount of slack in the belt, to more gradually slow the restrainee (
- a new word).Or am I way off base here?

Viper,
Well, not too many stepped up to bat so far. Here's a shot from my interior, not quite at the angle you want, but I had it laying around, so why not?
It's bad lighting too.
Once I install new triangle vents and paint, I'll take another shot and send 'em over. Hope this helps!

Roughly 30* from horizontal is what I've read.
True, more stretching would help deceleration.. As long as it doesn't stretch enough to let you hit the steeringwheel
And those belts do stretch quite a bit in some really high impact crashes. My .02$

Thank you!! I think it will do nicely.
And here you can see how it fits in with the rest of the page - http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/2nd_gen_howtos.htm
Thanks again, and if you want to send me an updated pic, I'll be happy to change this one for that if ya like.
