Cough up 60 more bones for an RB header

I love the chrome RB header on my FB much more that the POS Pacesetter one on my GXL. Especially when it was new and all the paint melted off. That sucked.

Damn I should just make an Anti-Pacesetter Rant Page

YES they suck, YES don't waste your money on them, YES buy the RB headers instead, YES the RB units are worth the extra $60!

I don't know about the gasket, but the POSetter header effectively doesn't come with one, they give you a little crummy thin paper one. You NEED a Mazda gasket. Heck one time my car was fuel starving badly, it wouldn't go over 35mph floored because it was running so lean (turned out to be seriously gunked up fuel lines and filters) and it actually BURNED OUT the Mazda gasket! Here's the funny part... 2 days later it was quiet again, it sealed itself up! Now that's a GOOD gasket.

Don't worry about rust. If you're worried about rust, don't get headers. All headers will rust, it's a fact of life. All headers will burn the paint off fairly quickly. WT's headers have NO paint on them at all, it never seemed to be a problem. (They're blue and purple colored now from running hot )

I'm the third owner of a RB header and pre-silener

the thing fit fine the flange has not warped at all. worked great
I would say go with RB easily
they are worth the extra money

Here is the bottom line:

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

I have the pacesetter headers and although they are rusty looking, it's because they get so damn hot, and are NOT coated. If I would have paid to have them coated they would be fine. I have no complaints with them, although in the future I will go with a different brand. I didn't pay a lot for them, and they are doing fine for now, so how could I complain? For $60 extra, I would probably go with the RB headers as well, though. If I had to do it all over again, I would get mine coated, regardless of the brand name. . .

-Derek

P.S. Mine came with 3 gaskets (2 for installation and 1 extra). The two initially installed are doing fine, and the other is still in plastic. BTW-I've had them for almost two years.

Stainless steel header, holds up better than the mild steel ones, no coating to worry about either, but they are pretty tinny sounding to..Max
