anyone have this exhaust

hey all. I know that a lot of people like the dual setup and Im not here to debate that i just wondered if anyone else has this exhaust???
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

I got it and have it installed now and I must say Im really impressed with the quility for the price. its all ss and it fits perfect and mounts to every single spot the stock one did. Me and my wife also have an evo VIII which we bought a full 3 inch turbo back from hks and the quality of the piping is similar. At this price I didnt expect much but he even sent me the gasket for the turbo->dp. The only difference is the muffler(hks mufflers are very nice but $$$$). I picked mine up for 230 bucks which seems like a great deal. It weighs less than the stock stuff and flows very well. I measured it at the flange at just over 3 inch. I will post some pics of it on the car. I just wanted to know if anyone else here had also bought this set. It also came with a silencer which is great for daily drivers into that. Me I love the sound of a spooling turbo.

yeah.. if you can get it of under 300 bucks thats a steal even if it is a single......
I'd spend the extra monet and get good gaskets though... those are the cheap autozone gaskets that fall to pieces after about a month....

I have it, it was actually purchased BEFORE they were selling it with the pre silencer. Two things worth to mention:

-DP ends at 2.5 inches\cat back starts at 2.5 inches. Might not be an issue for some, in my case I was pissed, since I emailed them asking about it before bidding on it!

-IT IS LOUD

I ended up cutting both 2.5 inch flanges and welding RB 3 inch flanges on both sides (DP & cat back), I then made a custom pre silencer with a 3 inch borla muffler. With the borla pre silencer, the sound is way lower, even the wife likes it

yeah mine has a presilencer and the flanges did measure 3 at the dp and cat connection. Maybe they changed the system since yours was bought.

That is weird, cause the one on the pic, does end\start at 2.5 (it's actually more like 2.75).

It is 3"....its a great exhaust. I've purchased two...one for my FC and another for my Nissan 240sx. The FC is a hell of a lot louder than my 240sx. Both fit great and the quality is superb.

I blued it. Yours wont do that. I did it with a torch. It was more of a test than anything. I just wanted to see how it would turn out. If you have a downpipe it will do it from the extreme heat. Otherwise the exhaust will stay noice and shiny. I've inclosed a picture of the exhaust on my Nissan 240sx. It's a little dirty from daily driving, the exhaust has been on it for a lil over a year.....went through winter last year. Held up extremely well. Still shiny.

well the post made by KNONFS threw me off, it sounded like they advertised it as 3" but it was in fact less than that. if it is 3" from the turbo back then i will buy a setup.

so is it 3" all the way back? Did it give a noticable increase in power? I see the racing beat system with a fuel cut defenser adds 54 horsepower, does this do atleast close to the same? It's only single, well what side would it exit on the s4 t2, probably passenger side right? Me and my friend put a header made by ssautochrome on his 98' civic ex 4-door automatic and it didn't feel like it added barely any power except it was louder and the last 800 rpms slightly pulled harder. But on a turbo car going from the factory's, what 2.25" exhaust to a 3" seems like an increase, sounds pretty good on that n/a too. dang, i might get this system whenever i fix up the TII.

Yes you want to just ad a resonator after the cat or where the cat would be to make the tone a deeper sound. I would not add another muffler unless you want to restrict the exhaust more. Im sure it would work similar but may create more backpressure Also they are big and heavy compared to a resonator/presilencer

Read this thread were i made the same comments...
http://www.teamfc3s.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29654

Another forum member who does have it, agree s that it is not a FULL 3 inch setup.

Now wether they fixed it since they added the pre silencer, might be a whole different story; remeber that my system did not included the pre silencer. Then again judging by this pic:

They are still a smaller diameter at the end of the down pipe, front & end of the pre silencer, and front section of the cat back. Too bad I don't have photoshop in order point them out

Who knows, it might be an old pic

yeah i have to say these guys from SSchrome have produced so quaility products for a reasonable price. Markup in the import world is 400%. These guys here soon will have a product line for every import car on the market. They have had some people say that their welds on their turbo mainifold stuff won't last but I have yet to test this myself so its not fair to say. I think this company's ideas are exactly what this industry needs.

Thanks, I'm really interested to see if this exhaust is a full 3" throughout. If it is, you can't go wrong for that price! If it isn't, I guess I'll go Corksport but its like twice the price (even though its still pretty cheap for a full 3" turbo back).
