Ive been skeptic to put any chip on my car....

Id rather buy a piggyback unit to fix those. A chip is a temporary fix until you upgrade again.

I had one for the last 3 years I owned my '90 vert. After an intake and exhaust, it's the best money you can spend.

I was going to get one, but found a custom chip on Ebay that I bought. It's made a real difference for me. I'm beating all the guys who beat me last year in autocross. go_speed-go knows the difference it made for him.

I've been wanting that chip for a while, but was convinced that it should be the last thing I do. After I get all my other upgrades, hop on a dyno, and send the sheet in with my ECU. Do you think I should do that? Or get it asap after the Intake and Exhaust?

There's only one tuning level he offers now - autocross.
It worked just fine for street use.

Right now, my only mod is an engine in peices. However, I'm scheduling to get it streetported today, actually. PR Racing Sleeves, Aftermarket Clutch, Electric Fan, 1 High-flow cat, and a handfull of reliability mods.

I've got it in my head to add: Custom CAI, Header~>Presilencer~>Custom 2.5" Catback, MSD Ignition, Getting rid of Emissions, and a few other things.

With all that stuff coming, I'd wait till after the intake and exhaust are done. I'd do the chip before the ignition. The stock iginition is plenty adequate for NA applications.

I think that the following person is happy with it:
http://rx7.voodoobox.net/howto/chip/chip.html

I plan on getting one for my RX7 this summer.
$300 plus shipping-- I guess they had a price drop.
Now it is more in my price range.

And a review at this link:

Match the chip to your upgrades, ask EXACLTLY what aftermarket parts they were using on their cars, ask if it was a series IV or series V engine (86-88 vs 89-91), etc..

IT MUST BE TUNED CORRECTLY to get HP and avoid bad fuel economy.
