For an exuast i have a RB header, Bonez high flow cat, and a RB cat back exuast. After my motor let go, my cat turned bright red because of all the raw fuel in my exuast and i had to drive it this way for about 15 miles or so. I was thinking about gutting the cat, but was wondering just how loud would the car be with a header, gutted cat, and RB cat back? Anyone else have anything similar?

 

Yup, HAD something similar, until I almost went insane from all the noise lol! Your cat plays an important part in keeping your exhaust system somewhat quiet... if you take it off, you'd better be putting a pre-silencer in its place... or wear ear plugs. A straight pipe setup on any RX7 is loud enough with the stock exhaust manifold... with headers, its just deadly.
