anyone else makes a full Titanium cat back?

I know that

JIC and RE-Amemiya make them them, but anyone else make a full titanium cat back?

The info I have so far is

JIC 4.8 KG or 10.6 pounds about $1100
RE-Amemiya full titanium dolfin tail 12.8 pounds about $1600 ( maybe cheaper places to get it this is the price I got when called them )

how about a Ti front pipe and mid pipe?

Tony, you should check out KTS since you are in japan. SPL Parts here in Austin sells a bunch of KTS parts and they make full titanium exhaust systems for silvia's, 180sx's...etc. Im pretty sure they make one for the FC but I dont know the price. Also, HKS makes one but im sure you knew that.

HKS used to make a full titanium exhaust system for the FC. Now on the site you only see the titanium muffler with SS piping.

Is that weight and price the single sided RE cat back or the dual. I want the dual and if someone finds a place cheaper that would be awesome.

If you can't find a place to buy a premade system, I can make you one in the shop.
Titanium inc is another family business...

Titanium for a street car exhaust would a waste of money. When I bought a full exhaust for my motorcycle, there where 2 identicle versions of the same exhaust, 1 titanium, and 1 stainless the weight difference was about 5 pounds. Even if the the difference for an FC exhaust was 20 pounds there would still be no practical advantage for titanium.

Many new OEM sportbikes are just now comming with titanium exhausts, but its still a waste, it just a marketing ploy.
At least IMHO.

People with FC's go to extreme lengths to get 20 pounds. AKA chipping up all the sound deadining on the interior for hours and hours. For LESS than 20 pounds.

So what?

Dropping off weights off the exhaust can't be a bad thing.

Keep in mind every 20lbs is a drop in a bucket. I know dDub managed to shave off 300lbs with his NA and keep his interior.

Ah, by the way you phrased it in the first place it seemed that you were whining how people shed 20lbs from their car and the lengths they go to do it.

I agree with Griffen though, I rather keep that sound deadening in, the Scirocco doesn't have it and its a squeaky loud *** bitch.
