Anyone else here like this wing?

RE Amemiya GT II wing

Usually i am not one for wings, but when they are actually functional, and provide a purpose, not to mention i like the looks of this one.

But the pricetag is INSANE.

The fibreglass version is $1150USD from rotary extreme!

Anyone know of any replicas, that still serve the purpose, and look the same? as i could NEVER justify 1000 dollars for a wing.

realistically, would you want that on a street car? personally, if you told me i could have it for $5 _IF_ i put it on my car and had to give it back the second i took it off, i'd keep my five dollars. that wing may be functional and may have a great name behind it, but i hope you won't be goin the speed it would take to make that wing reasonably/noticably functional.

I agree with casio & ilike2eatricers.

In my personal opinion, it seems like a little too much for the 7

thats a damn nice wing for the track. i am gonna try and make my own though. that one gave me some good ideas on how it should look.

unfortunately, i dont know anything bout body stuff, so i dont know of any replicas. however, i am sure u could get someone to make u a replica out of fiberglass. i have seen a few ppl work with fiberglass and im sure they could make that with a bit of effort. the problem is getting a mold for it without having the original wing...

No, I don't like it.

I'm glad it's so expensive...that keeps it off most of the FC's out there.

I would put it on a strictly track car, not a street car, its too much wing for the streets...

I honestly don't like the look of it, but can imagin the functionality this one could produce. But I cannot see $1000+ function out of any wing, but I'm no expert either. Anyone else know of good factual eveidence on any wings at all?

I'd drive around with it like that, but what should I do if the girl falls off?

I personally like it. The reason is because I've never seen one on an FC. It's good to be different.

There is a video called fc3s.avi, it's about 150meg file that shows the engine being built for that car in the picture above and it running around town and on the track. Vosko used to have it hosted but don't know if he has it anymore.

I think the wing is badass. It's very functional on the track, has a good name, and is certainly different.

For the people who say rice.... to me rice is gaudy *NON functional* parts. This isn't the general aluminum wing bolted on the back of a FWD street car. It's designed for racing. Personally I considered buying it to go with the rest of my Amemiya RE2k parts. Just the harassment from hecklers on the street that keeps me from getting it since afterall, I won't see a benefit at street speeds.

There are no replicas of which I am aware.

The video is VERY SWEET. I love that car.
