Anyone else have N1's that dont sit right?
oh and i know they are supposed to angle but one sits higher up than the other, if you look the left one is higher and angled up more while the right is lower and not angle up but more straight out.

i love the look of duals, but the fact that it looks really goofy when they're not aligned perfectly is a big turnoff to me. i'd rather have just one cannister and the empty cutout for the second, than have two sitting crooked. i have the stock mufflers and they dont sit quite right. i had pipes and hangers bent so the tips come out in the same places, but the mufflers are on slightly different andgles.
looks nice, but like ronnie said take it like pronto muffler or TripleA Muffler off of Ave K and like 14th or so.
we'll have to see whos looks better when i get mine done from don....oh man its gonna be nice

This is an unexplained phenomena on most (if not all) aftermarket 2nd gen cat-backs. One side usually sits higher than the other - I've never totally figured out why, it may be since the Y-pipe is pulled to one side by the cats/downpipe.
Anyhow, best thing to do is unbolt the y-pipe to midpipe flange, and jiggle the exhaust around to get it seated as best you can. Inspect the exhaust hangers, and replace any that are worn and sagging. Make sure you're using ALL the hangers - 3 on each muffler can, 2 in the middle of the Y-pipe.
If you look at pics of the Racing Beat cat-back (someone recently had a thread with pics) it does the same thing. So does the HKS exhaust.
My N1 GT Series single sits perfectly, though

Another thing that will cause the catback to sit uneven is the rubber doughnuts. They'll stretch out of shape over time. Pep Boys usually has them.
While you're replacing the doughnuts, unbolt the catback from the cat/mid-pipe, jostle it around a bit, then bolt it back up. My single N1 would sit differently every time I removed it until I hung it, stuck the bolts through it, jostled it around, then tightened it up. Sits perfect now.

I would say get brand new hangers i wouldent bend the metal becuase there perrfectly even right now. Its usually the hangers, one of them is too worn and causes the exaust to sit lower than the other. Id try new hangers first then if that dont work start bending some metal. My Single N1 is great
