87 TII 2450lbs in drag trim. 2500lb in auto-x trim. 1/3-1/2 tank of gas. Interior is there, no heater, a/c, ps, etc...

2700lbs is pretty good for a street car.

I'm expecting my FP car to weigh about 2250#. Its totally stripped and really naked looking, but I like it like that. INside it only has an aluminum seat, 4 pedals including the dead pedal and a steering wheel. The guages will be mounted in a few weeks but will not add anything substantial to the weight.

Damn that's pretty good for a series 5 TII ( those are like over 2900lb stock). What was removed from the car to take away over 150lb?
btw, does anyone make a 15# high crank battery cuz the one I have now is close to 50#.

I'll never understand why the RX-7, which is so damn small, only a two seater, and has plenty of aluminum components (suspension, etc) and has such a tiny engine, weighs so much more than other cars like Civics, (2300) Tempos, etc.

Damn- what I could do with a 500lb weight reduction!! Can you say 13's??

The GTU is 300 lbs lighter??? Holy %^it!!

I have full EVERYTHING... execpt air pump.
+ 16" rims and 225's
+ Ground effects
+ wiring (stereo, and others)
+amps, stereo, and sub box- only 8"

In a 1990 GXL. (The heaviest N/A made)

I don't even want to know.

with my new 87 base, I hope to stay below 2200 lbs, and have a pretty quick ride. So far, the whole interior is ripped out, and we are in the stage of weight reduction right now on it. I will keep you all posted on how my FREE rx7 is doing.

.
caz civics are FF, they don't have to transmit power to the rear like us,
comparing a civic to an FC, civic are built to achieve good fuel compsumtion and stuffs, that's why it's light weight and efficient.
