Anybody using AllDataDIY?

I'm looking at buying a subscription for alldatadiy for my vert, mainly because the wiring diagrams in the FSM blow. Anyone have alldatadiy and can tell me if they're decent or not for the FC's?

i don't know about the alldata, but its probably just a copy of the factory diagram.

the factory diagrams are really good, power is on top, ground is on the bottom...

The diagrams themselves are ok yeah, but very few actually show you the wire colors

+1 on the factory manuals being good. I only have the s5 to look at infront of me but it shows the colors and connectors on every page.

I have and really like the Haynes manual also which shows colors on ALL the s4 and s5 diagrams.

Hmm, I must be looking at the wrong manual or something lol. Just checked out Mitchell OnDemand, their wiring diagrams are great, we use that program at our shop (GM dealership)

the FSM doesn't give colors? there is a color index for the codes at the top of each booklet..

highly doubt you will find better, i used a haynes diagram once for the fuel pump only to find out it neglected to tell you that the fuel pump wiring changes color a few times throughout the harness. but guess what? the FSM had the exact same diagram!

once you get used to it it is easy to follow.

you should try the Audi/VW diagrams, they have to be the worst, a power window circuit is 3-4 pages... its actually so bad it makes you wonder if THEY know how it works

mercedes is actually the worst. 6 pages for the HVAC control panel and i still couldn't find the resistor block or wiring to the fan from the control module... talk about a waste of an hour deciphering, then i look at a mazda diagram and feel grateful. that was for an '84 300D, it's not a super complicated system and most of it is vacuum operated.

yes! you know you're working on a Mecedes when the car is literally on the ground because you have a vacuum leak in the door.

or because the back of your head is caved in because you just hit it on the grille again...
