Anybody have Sparco Seats in their FC?

Anybody got Sparco Seats in their 2nd Gens? I was just wondering because I ordered 2 Sparco Sprint seats 2 weeks ago and I already recieved the seats and sliders, but not the brackets yet. They told me that the brackets are custom-built to order and that it typically takes 2-3 months for it to be ready. Any of you guys go through this? I even called Sparco, and they told me the same thing, so now I'm just staring at these seats wondering when I can finally put them in. Sigh......

I like the look of Sparco roadsters, they're not TOO racey, but look like they have some support, but they could be a little bigger on the sides.
Anyways nice seats, too bad about the brackets.

I have a Sparco Seat in my Car ( drivers side) I used a Recaro rail and then drilled holes in it to match up to the sparco seat. No problems. The only thing is it sits a little off to the right but not a problem.

Why don't you just order a Sparco Seat rail to go with it??

I have a sparco Pheonix seat in my FC, I ordered the seat, and sliders from www.sportscar-parts.com the slider rails that i got where so the seat could slide back and forth. part# sp493 http://www.sportscar-parts.com/spseatbr.htm

when i put the seat in my NA a long time ago, I made my own bracket to connect the seat and sliders to the frame of the car, what a nightmare. When I put it in my TII a year ago or so, I ordered a custom bracket from www.nascarplace.com to bolt to the frame of the car to hold the seat in. Their page has changed to some weird search engine, but it did take like a month to get them to make it for me.. but it was worth it. here is a page that I have done when I installed the seat in my TII Seat Install

Hope this helps some

I had the first Monte Carlo seats just like that. Yes, same prob. You'll will love that support!! But, you will miss that ability to recline....if you use it for a daily driveer.

OPEC, hey thanks for the info! That's a nice write-up on your site. The only thing I'm worried about is how I'm going to mount the seatbelt harness in my convertible.

Glad it helped out.. Yeah.. I am not to familiar with the convertable so off of the top of my head, I am not sure where to tell you to mount the harness. I would think somplace in the general location that I did not sure how to get to that area in the convertable, or you could install some type of roll bar to mount the harness to. Just something that sits behind the seats. That is what I eventually want to do.

i have a 88 vert and recently installed the sparco torinos they are very nice seats i had to make all custom brackets to bolt to the stock sliders talk about a nightmare on the pass side due to the offset mounts the drivers side was pretty easy i love them a whole lot more comfortable than the stock seats.you just have to get the offset right for the seats so the bolsters dont hit the seatbelt retractors.

88 vert,
Do you have any pictures of the sparco torinos seat on your vert that you can post. I'm in the process of choosing whether to redo my vert seats or getting aftermarket racing seats.

Driftfc3s,
You can get a Kirk rollbar with a cross member on it for mounting the seatbelt harness, but you'll lose the use of your windblocker. There's a write up on the bar on "www.fc3s.org". I ordered my bar without the cross member and now are kind of regretting it, but the bar is still looks kickass thou.
