black rubbery stuff under hood?

black rubbery stuff under hood?

what is that black rubbery stuff onder my hood on my strut towers, and how do i get it off it's ugly and engine cleaner donsnt seem to work? is it like a under hood protectant?

You mean like undercoating kind of black rubbery stuff? If so, I don't think that's too easy to remove without heating and scraping-- what a mess!

Maybe someone else will know of a chemical, I don't. Undercoating is designed to be pretty protective.
