the one we are designing now is better than those old "lips" because it will serve dual purposes. It will pull the front end down and it forces air into the oil cooler so us FMIC guys won't over heat as easy. Here is a few pics of the ruff draft. So far we have 8 inches of forced air that would normally move under the car rammed into the oil cooler. And these are being designed to be universal S4 & S5 86-91 in 4x4 carbon fiber twill.

Doesn't look all that pretty...but then again I do put things in order for my car. Performance first, beauty later.

What exactly do these lips do? From what i've seen of other ones, there's some kind of screen that goes behind the lip under the nose of the car in order to... lower the pressure underneath the nose and create downforce? Or is it simply just a piece of plastic to extend the air dam down an inch or two towards the ground? Or both?

We are coming along slowly. I think I might change the ramp to fit under the stock facia instead of ramp up over it but it depends how the fittiment is when its mounted on the s4. I will go with whatever fits both series cars the best and of course is fuctional as well. And for now I am using threaded rod from home depot to use as stablizers because the aftermarket ones are like 40 bucks. That a rip off for 2 tiny shocks. I was trying to keep the cost around 100 bucks without the shocks if I can ever find those at a reasonable price. Anyone have a line on them?
