I got about a grand to work with but dont know what i should do. Thanks alot! Im on the myspace rx7 club under driftFC so im sorry if uve seen this before.

Change filters Air/Fuel/Oil.
Change fluids
Get a multimeter and start checking all the sensors particularly the TPS.
Replace anything that doesnt test how it should in the manual.
Check the plate alignment in the throttlebody.
Now as far as the exhaust goes... if your daily driving it, understand that headers are pretty loud, like really loud. A lot of people recomend them to everyone, but i would say they are only needed if you plan on doing more than a little bit of work to the car. I personally wouldnt like cruising around in a car that loud all the time, but many people do.
The most restrictive place in your stock exhaust right now is by far the cats. You actually have 2 front monolithic converters followed by a main cat right now. Any set ups that get rid of these will free up a lot of power, pretty much most of the power you will gain from a full header/presilencer setup will happen right there.
As a much smoother/quieter and slightly cheaper alternative you could keep the stock exhaust manifold and just get a test pipe or a high flow catalytic converter with the necessary split air pipe to open your intake ports. You will still feel a huge difference and with the addition of a good cat-back, you will have a throaty but refined sounding car. I like the racing beat cat-back but its subjective and i havent heard them all really.

Thanks alot.... I heard the RB downpipe and presilencer replace your cat converter. Ive been looking around a bit and I was thinkin of going with a full RB setup, catback exhaust, dowpipe and presilencer. I was also thinkin about gettin the k&n filtercharger intake but if there is sumthin better I'd definatly go with that. Im definatly gonna get a full tune up first though.
Oh yea I could get ahold of a APEXi SAFC for about 60$ is it worth it to put on a daily driver.
