Any Substitute for S5 TII AFM other than stand alone

I just called the dealer to get a price on an S5 TII AFM. $1100.00!!!!!!. OUCH. Sometimes I know that other model cars AFMs fit on each other. For instance, I have an M5 with two AFMs from the factory. BMW wants 200 each for the sensors. VW also uses one on the VR6 that costs 48.00. Same part number from Bosch. I put these in 2 years ago and not a hitch. Runs like a beast. So, has anyone cross referenced this RX7 part number with others. I am not sure if it is made by Mazda or someone like Hitchi or something. Anyone heard of switching out?

Some people have done Mazda 929 AFM's I think. there is not consensus about whether they are superior or not.

Sounds like it doesn't it? They are usually in line with Atkins and MazdaTrix. The parts guy on the oher end of the phone just about died too. I wonder how much wiring difference there is in the 929? It is an inline 6 I think. It should have the flow for a turbo rotary.

Are the NA and TII MAFs interchangable? If so, I have a S5 Na piece. Came off of a running car that recieved a Jspec swap.

No they are not interchangeable. They're physically the same but they're calibrated differently.
