OK, I'm looking for a scoop like that, but I don't want to pay the $400 that they want for that one.... So does anyone know were you can get TII inserts that are louvered like that? Or any other brands?

Thanks.

How effective could that be? if it's a vent air would have to make a turn forward then come out.. I suppose a small vacuum could be created by air flowing over it, but I'm not too sure.

There's an opening in the hood directly under it. Positive pressure below, negative pressure above, physics does the rest.

Actually, it's more like...
Airflow hits the ramped leading edge, and deflects upward.
This causes a vacuum zone right behind it.
The vacuum is what pulls the air from under the hood.
This is the reason why all those reversion scoop hoods have a slight lip on the leading edge.

Yeah I know, that's why I said negative pressure above. Good clarification though.

It looks great but cant help venting all that much huh?It looks like the original TII hood would take in more air.I love the look of it though the vents should be slanted the other way though allowing air to get in.

The whole point of it is to let air out. It's only for cars with FMIC's. It increases airflow through the radiator and intercooler by giving the air somewhere else to go.
