Talking Any luck-

-Any help would be tight.
I just got a 1988 Rx7 ltx and I got some green to spend on it. Is there any after market parts to tighten her up a bit. Intake, headers, body kits, head lights, tail lights, anything. Or are they all just custom jobs or is there some place to oder them on line. I've looked around but im not seeing anything that would fit my ride. Some of u have some godly fast and some pimp looken rides. Any advice on pimping my ride out to the fullest would be helpful. So help the a youngster out and let the Rx7 love be pasted on to one car owner to another.
thanx alot

You might want to try suspension first... www.shox.com is a good place. I am getting the KYB AGX Shocks with Eibach Pro-Kit springs... it will make the handling a ton better. Strut bars is another thing you could add...

How about an S-AFC Fuel controller? If you got one, you could have it professionally tuned and gain about 20 or so HP, if not more.

Short Shifter? Custom Street port?

Basically I'm just naming all the stuff that is on my car... check out the website in my signature and see if you like it... good luck!

Well, I would say get used to your car first. Don't touch it without doing maintenance first. From your profile you are young like me. Take it from me. you do not want to **** up and die or destroy the car because you were racing on the street. If you want a race car take it to the track and keep it there.

Just because you think you got it don't mean your ai'ght at it. Your life don't come back. Your 18 I will be 19 in less than a week. I have had some close calls. I wouldn't test things anymore. Specially on the street. trust me KEEP it on the TRACk.

There is no LTX The stickies at the top of this page has the models sold in the US. Check them out. second do a full tune-up for the car. Chances are the previous owner didn't do what he/she was suppossed to do as far as that. You will appreciate the longer life of your car with regular maintenance.

Well for performance parts there are many options. Two venders are are at the top of this page actually. You can start there. Sorry if I came off as an *** but I have seen enough **** to freak me out.

Anyways I have performance mods myself. I personaly have an 87 Sport N/a.

C'mon guys...this guy is new the world don't confuse him .

Anyhow, not to be an *** or anything, but I second the safety thing that Santiago was telling you about. Also if you really want to learn about your car (it's much more than you might think...as is ) and gain some VERY USEFUL info on parts, tuning, and custom stuff check out the archives at the top of the page. Above all that your new best friend should be the "Search" button...you can pretty much learn anything. There really aren't too many new questions.

Welcome to the club, be SAFE and enjoy your car.

BTW...what kinda track are you talking about, road courses, autocrosses, or *gulp...* drag racing tracks?

Also, just so you don't get the shock value too bad...RX-7's are NOT in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM cheap cars to modify. This is gonna be very different to modify this car than the Honda world . If you want a pre fabbed exhaust that's gonna run you anywhere from $400-2000 dollars (N/A, and I'm NOT talking titanium although they can be had for around $980 before shipping...for the catback that is ). Aero kits will cost you from ROUGHLY $600 (super cheap erebuni stuff) up to WELL OVER $4000 (most front fascias are roughly $800-1900...skirts are $400-900...rears are $500-900...this is just average, they can get higher ).

If you want a rebuilt motor definately hit up Kevin (http://www.rotaryressurection.com) for a fresh motor with some mods if you need (or just stock too, GREAT price)...that's basically the cheapest you'll find ($1000 and some change), they can get WAYYYYYYYYYY up there. Good luck though, I think this is enough to cut your teeth on...just hollar if you want more or PM me.

sheesh you guys are relentless lol. Anyways nice to have you here on the boards. Let me just say that the guys who say get everything tuned up first are dead on. Before moding can begin, the engine should be healthy. And these guys who are talking about cams and timing belts, in case you didn't know are poking fun . Rotaries don't have either of those. Anyways in response to your friends making fun or your car, you can always impress them at the 20-30HP increase that a new exhaust creates. Besides, they are driving honda's (sorry stupid joke I have). Anyhoo welcome to the board and if you rice the 7 out I will find you and make you attone for your crimes

It should be noted that everyone who doesn't own, driven, driving, or seen an rx7 on the track will probably call it rice. That is...before their 1997 4th gen mustang gets wasted by something that has less than a 3rd of the displacement.
"He must have a bottle"
screw off

of course, than again i have a 90 gtu with a bad tranny, lol.
