first, welcome to the club. second, give some people a little more time to reply.
third, what kind of budget do you have, and how much experience do you have w/cars in general?
before you go looking for an engine replacement, are you sure it's the motor that's bad? have you tested for compression, spark, fuel, etc?
if you're *sure* it's a bad motor, you should find out what's wrong with it, so you can determine if you just need it to be rebuilt (by yourself or someone else). you can probably find motors at junkyards, but you'll have no idea if they're any good.
give us more info!

hey thanks, i found the club after my recent interest in rx7s. As for cars in general, great, havent bothered testing anything because i was imformed a rebuild is pointless(by the owner he blew it, lol) but its the body im interested in i like the look and the drive of the car, even stock, but i dont know what will fit and will be easy or not

Well, your easiest bet will be to just put in another 13B, as any other motor will require a bit of modification (more than your budget would allow, I bet, heh).
You should just pull the motor and then pull it apart. There are enough resources linked to on this site to help you accomplish that much. The core itself weighs <200lbs, and comes in 5 main pieces w/2 rotors inside, so don't think of it as being as complex as a piston engine. Once you've got it apart you can find out if it's capable of being rebuilt (the cheapest option).

j0rd4n is right, do some reading and take that engine apart and see if you can figure out what's wrong with it, and then move from there. The rotary is a different beast yes, but with time and doing your homework you can learn a lot.

my budget really has no long term restrictions, with time, and my patience i think i can complete the car i have in mind. As for the engine, i think id prefer a newer one, i plan on doing drivetrain and all, i want to do this properly without making it look too flashy.................but if theres a way to make 250+hp by rebuilding a beat up N/A thats been sitting for about a year and a half now im all for it.
