Any guesses?
So my car is once again acting funny. Starting a couple days ago it felt like it has been lacking power and it even started giving me the redline buzzer at 7k (s5). I think the car is in limp mode, but I cannot find a reason why. Just to be safe I added enough pre-mix to give me a 100:1 ratio in case the MOP is malfunctioning. Also, the car has been giving off very light backfires any time i let off the throttle and get back on. In addition to that, the car jerks heavily when I'm just trying to hold the throttle constant around 2k rpm. I feel like the TPS is out of adjustment so I will have to get ahold of a multimeter so I can take care of that.
So, any guesses?

Check the TPS and compression test it. If it's backfiring it could be due to unburnt gas which cloud mean a bad apex seal or getting too much fuel.
A ghetto compression test should work, just pull a plug on each rotor housing one at a time and listen for 3 even whooshes. If you're only getting one strong one you know you have a stuck or cracked seal. If you're getting 3 and they sound weaker than the other housing do a real compression test.

Im at work, so until I can try this, does anyone have any other input? The car sounds slightly quieter. But no different tone or sound in general. And its mainly quieter above 3500.

Put in 4 gallons of gas, change the plugs and try that.
my guess: too much premix fouling the plugs.
I did that once and it knocked out the trailing plugs..the car ran like ****.

I added the premix after this all started happening as a precaution to the mop failing. I'll pull all my plugs and determine if i.should replace them or not. Last time i pulled them they were a nice light brown.

Ya,but if the OMP is failing, your car is not gonna get any better by premixing.
It will just go into limp mode and be undriveable before anything happens internally.

I had a ten hour shift today so I had my buddy come get the car and bring it back to his place to see if he could figure it out. The bottom part of the TPS (forgot technical term) was shot. And it looked as though someone had hacked into the wiring. So he replaced it with another one he had laying around and that fixed everything. No limp mode, no low-throttle jumpiness at a cruise, no rpm jumping at idle or cruise.
