looks like the car has a mad case of the runs because it never stops shiting on me.

i gave up on the rotor motor and im doing a 302 swap to it. the the last couple months i have noticed some rust coming threw on the quarters i think its going to be prety bad because there is already bondo on one of them

so im just going to sand it down to get rid of it than put a wide body kit over the holes

is ther any good kits i have seen some on ebay but i dont know if tehy suck or not
i have about a six hundread dollar buget

if any body knows of some one with a used one that would be even better

 

if your looking for a good top quility wide body kit for the 2nd gen check out Feels, they are a Japanese exlusive bodykit company and have some subtle to wild widebody kits for the FC. a little pricey but well worth the money. i also believe Knightsports has a widebody kit for the FC.

Yeah, that could be a big problem. This is probably the reason your car took a **** on you. It sounds like you're being cheap about things.


Mariamotorsports.com has a very nice conversion but its about 10x as much as your budget and requires about 11" wide wheels out back and something like 10 up front? Neither of the components are cheap.


Also if you are going through with a piston engine conversion you might want to check out the other forums that are specific to V8 swaps like torquecentral and our own "other engine" swap section. You'll get a warmer welcome there. They are also much more knowledgable there about what it takes to make a CLEAN piston engine swap rather than the hacked up pieces of garbage people try to sell on ebay for 8k dollars that aren't worth squat because they did things all wrong.


Whichever route you choose do things right and that means budgeting adequately for what you're doing. A lot of times its better to get rid of the car for something more economical if you can't afford it than to go through with a shoe string budget and mess it all up

Basically all the kits are ugly...but at least covering rust is better than wanting to run 300 series tires. If I HAD to do it I would go with the feels kit. But you're not going to get anything decent for that $600.

 

there's a few decent kits but they have to be done right, the overfenders aren't bad, lemme see if i can pull up a few pics:

If you like subtle wide body kits, get the AWR wide fenders. They cost about $800 for a set, but remember, the cost to mold the fenders will double your total cost, so you might want to consider doing something else with that $600.

 

how much are the fenders on that white and blue one and where can i get them?

 

And heres one more idea, depending on how much you wish to spend, and just how big you want to go, check the group buy threads for rxheaven's wide body kit. Its HUGE....well bigger then anythign ive seen to date.

heres jus a thought.....
i have an 87 TII and i was thinking instead of buying a kit, jus simply fabbing my own. well at least a type of flare. i love the sharp lines of the WRX STi fenders and found a couple doaner cars. i'm cutting the flare parts of the fenders off and molding them to the stock pieces. mind you i do have full access to a body shop and pro's that are helping but it is an idea! otherwise i would go thru Feels or maybe check out Corksport!

I would have to say I agree about the budget issue... so far since I bought my car I think I have spent about 7k and that doesn't include my suspension (which I am about to do) or the exhaust which is right after suspension... if your going to put money into a car you wanna drive and be proud of be prepaired to spend lotsa $$$ or be sadly disappointed with whatever garbage you turn up with.

and abou the conversion to a piston engine... why do that? you can buy it in every other f'n car... so why not keep it rotor all the way baby!!!
