Another winter project....good idea? boosting NA
This friend of mine just got a new turbo so hes getting rid of his old one. its a garret T3/T4. hes goign t sell it to me for 50 bucks. i told him i would buy it and i was planing on selling but since winter is coming along i thought, why not boost the RX7.
this is where you guys come in....is it a good idea?
Info on the car: it has a rebuilt motor with 40K miles on it. its stock except HKS filter. it has a fidanza flywheel and exedy clutch. and i am planing on putting a GXL rear end.
i can get one of my friends dad to help me with piping so any piping would not be a probelm. what other components would be expensive? he said to buy some stand alone program, but i forgot what the name was.
has anyone done this before? any help is appriciated!!

If you wanna go the cheap route get a megasquirt.
Not sure what you're gonna do for turbo manifolds for a t3/t4
what compressor wheel and housing is it?
if you do get this thing running and boosting, be gentle on your tranny or youll be buying a new turbo clutch/flywheel and a turbo tranny along w/ new driveshaft to mate to your n/a diff.
