Another window switch not working topic

So I bought a spare master window switch that came off an s4 a few months back. And when I finally went to test it today, it rolls down but it wont roll up. Im not sure if its because i have an s5 and the switch is for an s4.

I was thinking about cleaning the switch and see if it works (https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-gen-archive-72/power-window-switch-write-up-766218/). But I want to know if there is just a simple reason why it does not work before i start taking everything apart.

Thanks.

(and sorry in advance if i didn't search good enough for a similar topic)

Clean the switch.

Verify that it works.

Install relay mods.

Never worry about a window switch again.

Really.

?????

Profit!
Fixed

When I got my GXL, I had the same problem.
Turns out that there was a little bit of broken plastic in the switch.

Examine every little bit of plastic for cracks and other damage that might not be evident.

Can you explain a "relay mod" briefly?
