Why not?

Anyone know why NA fcs get up 8k and T2 only go to 7+k? Is it because of boost levels? Rtek can make the rev limit in a t2 go above 8K. That cant be good can it?

Its not about how high the motor can spin up to its about efficency the t2 set up starts to become less efficent above 7k so thats where it revs to.

it's also safer to lower the redline in boosted applications.

There also isn't really more power to be found on a stock TII at 8K anyway due to the turbo dropping boost anyway...

It's for ported racing engines because they make their power in the higher rpm range. They also have modifications that allow them to safely run at high rpms, such as lightened rotors, balanced rotating assemblies, locked rotor gears, clearanced rotors, high-rpm flywheel, oil system modifications, etc.
