another what the heck is this thread

This might sound dumb asking what this is but I tore down my core engine over a year ago.
Now that I got my reman last week I can't remember where this went or what it is. doh!

Thanks in advance
Ed

Oil Pressure Regulator

Goes in the big hole in the oil-area of one of the endplates (I think rear)

It is a picture of a stock oil pressure regulator relief valve. Threads into a threaded hole in your rear end plate. If the Reman Motor is complete it will already contain the valve. You now have an extra part.

Thanks for the help
I dont see it on my reman. Is it behind the flywheel on the rear housing? Or on one of the sides?

I want to make sure it's on there.

It wont let me upload the pic.
It says that I already attached that pic, but I haven't?
Well I'll try to describe it:

The sensor has a single wire with a plug at the end at the end of the wire.
It has 8 or 10mm threads at one end and the other end is 21 or 23mm head.
The wire comes off the 21mm side in the middle of the top.

It seems like either a knock sensor or oil sensor since it has big threads and it looks like it threads into the housing somewhere.

Sounds like the knock sensor for a s4, which is odd, because i've got that same thing on my s5.... hmmmm, now I REALLY wonder where the hell my rotors came from!

Yeah I thought it was the knock sensor.
I hooked up the wire harness to my motor (still out of the car.) and the plug for the sensor seems to be on the intake, exhasut side of the motor.

But I dont see anywhere for it to thread into.

Help someone.
