ANOTHER Vaccume hose question

Alright, lets see if I can find anyone who knows the vaccume hoses on the FC's

Information you'll need: '88 TII(10th Anniversary Edition)

I THINK I blew my engine...but now I'm not sure. I just did the TID mod, and top of 4th the car hesitated. Still runs strong up high, but won't idle right. Feels like its only idling on 1.5 rotors(like the 2nd is not firing all the time). I was getting ready to tear down my engine, took off the intercooler, all belts, alternator and then wait, there's a vaccume hose undone.

This vaccume hose comes off of the upper intake manifold/throttle body right behind the alternator. There are 3 hoses coming directly out, the middle one was popped off....could this be the cause of my problem?

HELP PLEASE!!!

you can put the hose back in place and try the car again? doesn't really sound like the engine's blown, and the best thing to make sure the engine IS blown is a compression check, so better do that before going through the trouble of rebuilding when you don't really need one... and try putting that hose back in place first

That hose and the one below it control the Purge Control Valve, which won't be causing your problem.

I see, even the fact that it was a vacuum leak doesn't make a difference? Not that I'm doubting you, but I've heard vacuum leaks do weird stuff like this.

Alright, here's an update:

Got everything back together, car runs rought at idle still. Seems like its midding on 1 rotor up to 2500rpms. Runs great from 2500-4000 where it doesn't want to go further unless I step on the gas a little, when I do it goes happily to 5500 where it hesitates a little, but as look as it gets past 5600rpms it ROCKETS to the redline...this is all while sitting still. The car still has tons of power, just hesitates a little. Could this by the symptom of a side-seal?
