another stereo question.

So I have my new deck hooked up but am not getting any sound from my speakers. I searched and realized that it's because of the damn factory amps. I am not, repeat NOT, running new wire to the speakers. What I want to know is, can I just bypass the amps without running new wire from the deck to the speakers?? It's snowing hard outside so I'm not gonna mess with it right now. I refuse to believe to HAVE to run new wire from the deck to the speakers to get it to work.

Thanks.

If you are not using the factory amps (I/E you have a head unit with more than 15 watts per channel output) then you will need to rewire past the amps at the speaker.

With the drivers dash speaker it is easier to run a new wire, however at the other speakers, you will need to go to the speaker, locate the wire that runs into the amp/speaker housing. Then open the speaker housing up, jumper the speaker wires that run from the outside and through the plug, and wire them directly to the speaker.
