another safc tuning... yes i searched

ok i just have a couple questions that i could not find specific answers to when i searched...
1) can you use a stock o2 sensor to tune an safc?
2) can an safc tune 1600cc secondaries w/ stock primaries?
thanks

1) no
2) probably not. If you plan to upgrade your turbo down the line just set up a good base for it (walbro 255 fuel pump, 720cc injectors). When you begin to reach the limits of the 720s move them to the primary and upgrade to bigger secondaries.

If you have to ask, then no you cannot. You need a dyno with a wide-band A/F meter and a professional to tune it for you.

Technically yes, but you'd need -50% correction to make it run like stock, which is the limit of the S-AFC and means you have no further scope to lean the mixtures out. Plus you'll get a hesitation when they come on, as the S-AFC is not sophisticated enough to smooth out the transition with such differently sized injectors.

I have to ask why you need such big injectors. They're capable of supporting over 550hp, and if you're actully going to be near that then you should be using a proper EMS, not a piggyback. If you're nowhere near that, then you should use more appropriately sized injectors. What are your mods and power goals?

I am using 850s in the secondary spots.

Streetported with full exhaust. Past 5k the motor sputters pretty insanely due to the rediculous amounts of fuel I'm injecting. I have yet to purchase an S-AFC, but it's soon coming. Good luck.

So do the smart thing and pull them out. Running that rich is bad for the engine, not to mention a pointless waste of fuel and power. This is a good example of the wrong way to modify a car.
