Does your exhaust spit out clouds of white, sweet smelling smoke?

1: does not want to start (too much coolant in comb. chamber will not fire)

2: clouds of white smoke

3: overflow is gushing out coolant or over flowing

its none of those, i asked these question because my temp is pretty high it's probabley 3/4 of the way up and my idle is weird, it doesnt jump all crazy, it goes from 800 too about 1200rpms, my motor has about 100,000 or so, i was thinking maybe my water pump or radiator....

The idle and over heating sound like different problems.

Check the FAQ for both.. Idle = TPS (most likely) and overheating = improperly bled coolant system (most likely). I would stop driving it if its that hot. You could be causing more damage than you started with.

edit: you can also check the link in my sig. Specifically: http://www.rotorwiki.com/index.php/L...ts_and_Cooling. Its a direct copy from the faq on this forum. For redundancy purposes.

no it doesn,t when i first start up my car.... after sitting for a good 8 hours, my rpms go straight to 3,000 rpms for aleast 20 seconds, then goes down to 1500rpms, then i let it warm up into it's at 800rpm . then i come back my temp is half way perfect... i'll drive like 10 miles and my temp raises a lilttle (3/4) maybe.... nothing wrong with my oil or amount of oil. nothing wrong with the feel of the car no noises no signs of problems. but when i go to a stop or neutral my idle goes from 800 to about 1000rpms or so...

plus i drive my 7 67miles a day

well the temperature gauge is ok. I think that's operating temperatures.

Have you checked for vaccuum leaks?

then i get home and i check out my motor, no bubbles,no noises.... then i turn her off for about 5 minutes and started her right back up with no problem one turn with the key and she starts.....!!!!

it's driving my crazy!!!!!!! i know this would help soo much a video of this...

another thing i gotta add in the morning time like 6:00am when im leaving my house to go to work MY TEMP IS HALF WAY TO HOLLLLEEEEE RIDE 33 MILES.

then when im driving home(another 33 miles) my temp is higher then half way!!!

do you have an underbelly tray? have you bled/flushed your coolant system recently? Stock fan and shroud? You looked at your t-stat? is your water level ok? is your water level sensor ok? what have you checked???

S4 temp gauge reads NORMAL at 1/3 of the way up.
S5 temp gauge reads NORMAL at 1/2 way up.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE BESIDES POST IN HERE?????????????????????????????????????

Sounds kinda like a clogged radiator to me.

http://aaroncake.net/RX-7/cooling.htm

As for the temps, that is SUPER high. S4's (86-88) should be about 1/4 of the way up on the gauge, not 3/4. Thats getting into dead motor territory. I can't believe you haven't cooked a coolant seal yet.

ok, time to search.....brb.

EDIT: you're absolutely right it's 1/3 of the way up. I edited my post above to reflect the correct temp readings. Thanks for the correction.
