Another not starting, except I have spark and fuel.

I recently moved. And in the process I drove the car from my old house to my new one. Went to start it a couple weeks ago and nothing.

I bought new plugs, and checked to make sure all were firing. They all fire.

It's getting fuel as the plugs are wet after trying to start it.

I even filled it with more gas.

This process is over 4 weeks now. I let it sit for a whole week again and still won't start. Battery is fine as I am keeping it on a charger in between me messing with it.

Does anyone have any ideas? I've done the unplugging the FP and trying to start then pluging back in after cranking and nothing still. I'm lost.

This is my beater so I'd like to get it running before snow hits. ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

Flooded? Check the FAQ for flooding. A very common problem.

It's been sitting for 4 weeks, can it really still be flooded?

It does sound like it might be flooding, and if it is, letting it sit won't unflood it. Sometimes, in bad flooding cases, you might even have to put a little oil into the combustion chambers through the leading spark holes (lower) to make the seals seal better to get it started. You might also take a basic compression test on both rotors to see where it stands. Even if no seals are blown, if the compression is under 85psi anywhere it could contribute to the flooding problem. Leaky injectors also can cause flooding. When I unflood my motor I usually have to crank for a couple seconds, then turn the FP off and floor it to open the TB, then as soon as it fires up I switch the fuel pump back on and give it just a little gas to make sure it doesn't die. I installed a switch because I have to do this all the time, but you can do the same thing just using the plug under the dash, as it sounds like you've found it already.

Okay I gave it a shot and I wasn't holding down the pedal long enough.

Before I was holding it down for 30 seconds and cranking, and no starting.

I went out and held it down for no joke 3 mins and solid crank and Finally it started and died. Did this a few times and it stayed running. Drove it around for 10 mins and came home.

Guess it was flooded and I'm a n00b. I figured forsure it wasn't after had done it several times for 30 seconds or so.

So anyway long story short I'm a moron when it comes to rotarys. Its running now anyway. Going to try again in an hour and run some erons. Leave the Evo in the garage now again.
