Another Low Oil Pressure thread! T2

My New 1987 T2 is showing some signs of low oil pressure according to the stock guage. My car has 104,000 original miles, never been touched mechanically. Here are my symptoms:

idle just under 30psi
Driving guage shows normal 60-75 psi depending on RPM range.

Doesn't seem to fit the "normal" pattern of low PSI throughout the entire range.

The car runs perfect, no leaks, smooth idle.

Only thing related to oil i can think of is there is a crack in the oil fill cover. Any ideas on what this car might have going on.

The stock gauge is unreliable and not exact. Buy a mechanical one and feel relieved.

Those oil pressure readings are normal. What do you see that is abnormal?

I was comparing it to my other Rx-7's and the idle was usually steady over 30psi on them.. If it's normal then I am happy!

I think even as low as 15 psi at idle is OK, but I don't recall what the manual says exactly. But 30 at idle is definitely normal.

Mine have all idled at 20-35 PSI and cruising in 5th gear is 60-70 PSI. Even the one rotor engine on the parts car, lol.
