Another "Identify this sound" thread...

I have searched, so please bear with me if this really has been asked before. At low speeds I can hear this "click clack click clack" type sound coming from the front right wheel. Some have suggested it may be the bearings, but I'd like a few more suggestions before I go tearing my car apart. Any ideas?

Its more likely to be a bad ball-joint as bearings usually whine.

But don't ball joints clunk while turning? This only happens noticeably at low speed while going straight.

That is happening to my left front, and I didn't get much of a reply to my thread. It started as a gentle thump, thump, thump, and is now a combination of thumping and squeeking.

I hope this thread gets a definate answer.

IT was a joke...you know, front wheel drive (in a rear wheel drive car), alternator fluid, muffler bearing...
