another flash to pass question

ok when i bought my car in oct the guy i bought them from said he was looking at buying black ftp's or a darker one. i have been looking for them for a while and i was woudering if anybody knows of this. i like the idea cus i have a black car, and i am tired of not having them.

No such thing. If you want to reduce their effectiveness, tint them yourself.

VHT makes a product called nightshade, its sold in a spray can, and a few parts stores carry it, and if they don't they can order it for you. A few light coats makes a big difference in color, but usually won't reduce the effectiveness too much.

o i just dont want big gaping holes and i am not really found of the ftp being white/ clear but it beats holes to i can live with clear ones

Heres a couple shots of mine, they really aren't quite as dark as they appear, but the markers are(they have since been cleaned and repainted though)

go to michaels (craft store) and buy some stained glass paint. it is translucent and comes in many different colors.

what do you all think would it look good on a black car to have them tinted or should i just leave them be?

do they really light? i always see them off ! am i missing something here?!

hmm....with h.lights off, have someone stand in front of the car and hit the high beam, hence the 'flash-to-pass'

btw, dont really use this feature much, if at all, here in the states at least...
