You can just search for "aluminum piping" on ebay. Search words like that to get it. Although, with shipping costs and difficulty of getting the right piping you may just want to visit a local car place like muffler shop to get it. If not, search for the straight pipe on google or buy it off ebay(you only need a foot) and go to magnaflow's website to get a 45 degree mandrel bend pipe 4" on the short side and 12" on the long one(yes, you will need to cut it and the 12" straight pipe as well.) https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-gen-archive-72/write-up-those-who-wanted-my-cai-write-up-here-archive-me-305195/ <---Great writeup for an s4 if you need more info, there are some slight differences with an s5, just pm me if you have an s5.

My piping is 3".

The best thing to do is buy a CAI kit for a '92 Honda Prelude off ebay. I would get the cheapest one you can find and then buy a really good brand name filter off ebay as well (K&N seems to be the most popular on here). Just watch out for ebay stuff that says "like K&N in the title.

I tried Lowe's, muffler places, Napa and those places and no one had what I needed.

The Prelude kit will need to be cut to fit. I've got a pipe from a Prelude that I cut to fit that runs from the TB to the AFM but haven't had time to move it to the fender yet.

If you go this route be sure to clean it well after cutting. I mean really well. The piping doesn't run through a filter before the engine (duh) and the metal shavings aren't good for the engine (duh).

You can support it in other places but I wouldn't worry about it too much. It says in your profile that you have a S5 and the AFM is much lighter than in a S4, which does need to be supported.

I personally would pick the one you pointed out on Ebay. It is a good price even with that horrible shipping cost.

Just the stuff that comes with the Prelude kit should be fine but you might need to pick up some extra intercooler connectors to be sure you seal it correctly.

You look like you are on the right track. If you have any other questions you can always PM me.

I never did with any of mine. But the piping/coupler through the hole sort of gave it a bracing too.

If you look at the ebay link you posted, it comes with 2. You need 3 or 4 depending on your filter.

You need a large enough one (like home depot 3" plumbing coupler) for the TB elbow to pipe one since the TB elbow is large and rigid. Then a normal 3" one like in the auction for pipe to AFM, then AFM to pipe, then pipe to filter (if you filter has a built in coupler) or pipe to coupler to filter if it doesnt have a built in one.

I only suggest using them for the TB to pipe connectiong, they are rather large and annoing to work with.

dDuB do you have any pictures of one of your finished products? I bought one of those kits a few weeks ago (picture below). I guess all I need are a few more intercooler couplers? Any other tips on the install?

Here's some pics of one of the setups I've built (long ago) when my engine bay was still relatively stock looking

Note in this picture there is a coupler for the filter, that is because my filter didn't have a built-in coupler so I had to use an extra one. Most filters usually have something built in for clamping onto the pipe.

The new design I built for my s5 TII LIM and FD UIM/TB combination. This is temporary, though, until I can buy an FD greddy TB elbow and run the intake to the drivers side instead of passenger side to keep the intake length shorter.

Looks good. Why did you use the plumbing coupler for the tb-pipe connection, instead of another intercooler coupler? Were you just out of intercooler couplers, or did you have a reason for it?

The normal 3" blue couplers I were using wouldn't fit. If you look at the TB elbow it is farily large, like 3.25-3.5" I believe, so you either have to get a single bigger silicone coupler or use a plumbing one for that. For some reason the plumbing couplers are bigger than they claim I used a supposed 3" plumbing coupler and it was more than big enough for the TB elbow, of course it was huge on the piping and had to be tightened way down.

I went ahread and measured the TB elbow inlet. It's just a little bit under 3.5" and the 3" rubber plumbing couplers from home depot or any hardware store fit it like a glove.
