SC Another appraisal thread, Fitted 7.

Hey guys, sorry for the redundancy, but the whole reason for this is because im leaving for afghanistan in 2 weeks and i have my car in storage. When i get back, im looking into getting an FD or something else along the truck side. Not sure, but gimme opinions on how much i should ask for my car if i decide to sell. I have a 1987 Rx7 GXL Turbo II swap. Rebuilt, streetported, powdercoated everything, and installed by Rotary Resurrection. The motor has 12,xxx miles on it. Heres a list of mods

-Godspeed fmic 3" piping (32x11x3) w/ SSQV BOV
-750/1000cc injectors
-Brand new alternator/starter/optima yellow top battery

Interior:
-Blue interior in fantastic shape
-Haltec e6k includes computer and connection cable
-Autometer water/boost gauge
-Aem wideband with brand new sensor
-Hks evc4 boost controller
-Greddy turbo timer (blue series)
-Short throw
-10th Anniversary steering wheel
-Kenwood head unit recently installed

Exterior:
-Brand new factory blue metallic paint (November '11)

about $6-7k mainly because it is fresh paint and looks nice, being a swap detracts some from value.

that is what i would expect it to bring, that is what i have seen comparable cars bring. you may get a little more with a bit of patience.

you'd actually make more rounding up all stock TII parts and converting it to a stock TII swap and selling the car for $4-5k and sell the upgrade parts off seperately. modifications are almost always a huge loss when selling with a complete car.

The blue interior looks really good, aside from the shift boot. Just my personal opinion, lol.

You are probably going to take a bath.. The car looks good, the market is a little up right now on these and with the modifications you have I would say to sell it quick $4500-$5500 if you want to sit on it a while $6000-$6500. If you ebay it you will have to list it a few times due to flakers but it may pull a little more.

I see a lot more money in parts unfortunately.

Motor:
-streetport with 3mm atikins apex seals (all paperwork/receips included) $1500
-powdercoated everything external
-BNR S5 stage 3 turbo, rebuilt 2k miles ago $600+
-2.5" downpipe to 3" catback to dual 3" blast pipes $300
-ACT 4 puck clutch, installed with motor brand new (12,xxx miles) $150
-Godspeed fmic 3" piping (32x11x3) w/ SSQV BOV $400+
-750/1000cc injectors $300
-Brand new alternator/starter/optima yellow top battery $100

Interior:
-Blue interior in fantastic shape
-Haltec e6k includes computer and connection cable- $600-800
-Autometer water/boost gauge- $50
-Aem wideband with brand new sensor $100+
-Hks evc4 boost controller $150
-Greddy turbo timer (blue series) $75-100
-Short throw $50-75
-10th Anniversary steering wheel $50-75
-Kenwood head unit recently installed $50

Exterior:
-Brand new factory blue metallic paint (November '11) Shell- $1000
-Megan street coilovers $600
-Shine Auto 30mm front over fenders
-Saleen SC Replica wheels, 17x10 +20 all around (15mm adapter front, 5mm spacer rear) (F)215/40/17 (R)235/40/17 Federals $600-700
-S5 Tails, great condition $150-200
-6k HID's $100
-Volvo 740 front lip

you could probably get a decently nice rolling shell FD with a blown motor in trade, that's about as close to an FD as you will get with it. but most FD owners are ****** when it comes to "trading down".

I would say 3-5k Unfortunately its a pretty small population of folks that want a car like that, Its dumped, has blue interior and most likely has a hackjob under the bumper cover and fenders.

i thought i was pretty rough with brutal truth, some of you guys are downright underselling the car. but i suppose you also didn't look at the album pictures which help show that it is decently clean.

Actually behind the fenders is fine. the only thing ive modified is the coilovers by removing collars...and they are over fenders so they are how they were ordered...

And behind the bumper is just as fine. only modification was the 2 holes for IC piping, and the grill was just evenly shaved down to fit the fmic.

I think it looks good. I bought my Infini III for 6500 and it didn't nearly as much mods as yours does.

what it is worth and what you want are $6K you will be lucky to get 4-4.5K. Sold many cars. You could have gotten your six grand 5 years ago, but now think about your car being 25 years old.
