Swapping out my s4 alt for a s5.. what do you do with the black/white connection, the one to the ignition switch? Just leave it open to nothing? And does the connection from the S terminal to battery need to be switched? Thanks, happy easter guys!

Hey Al!
Ok, the S terminal should not be 'switched'-the S terminal on the S5 alternator must remain energized at all times, or you will get a slow voltage leak and your battery will go flat. It *should* go to the under hood fuse block and connect to the INJ terminal (fused side). *Acceptable* to connect it to the positive terminal of the Battery, but you need to install a fuse inline (10 amp is fine) to protect the wiring. *Passible* is to loop it onto the 'B' terminal (this will result in voltage consistently on the low side).
The wire that came from the switch can be taped off and left unused.
Good Luck!
