too many screws/bolts...

and offset would depend on what width

Jacob, fix your signature... or it will be deleted.

No more than 5 lines of text are allowed when used with a picture.

You can have 10 lines without a picture, but 15 lines and a picture is way way too much.

Those screws are fake I think, because the air valve hole is where one of them would be and I don't think many engineers would compromise their design like that.

40mm is too much!

I had 38 with my last set and they set in a little but didn't look bad. I just bought a set of 40mm offset and it looks like crap. I didn't think 2mm would make that much of a difference

40mm:

I think 35 is the way to go.

Here's an old one of the 38's. Come to think about it, they both look like they set in too much. I give up on the wheel situation.

Ted's site says 35mm... http://fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/RT/rims.htm

Edit:

I'm post whoring your thread because it's helping me think...

I bought 8mm spacers last month and it looked better but I could only get 3 threads on the studs so I didn't use them. Therefore, I think the best offset is 30-32.

Don't do it. Not EXEL. Shoot if you're on a budget ADR makes some good Staggered fitments for the FC like the ADR Kasai. This wheel will be most likely for an FF car. See if you can find some decent width wheels for a 350Z. They might be 8's with a slightly lower offset and i'm sure you can find used wheels as well of better quality.

Those look good. They don't list prices for packages on the site though...

When I match rims to a car, I always take the engles of the car into the greatest consideration. The FC is very angular, sharp, and almost "stealth bomber" shaped if you know what I mean. I took the angles of the car and found wheels with similar angles. I came up with Konig Imagines as the absolute best match for me. They look god damn amazing on my TII. The wheels you are looking at don't really match the lines of the FC IMO. I say keep looking.

17X7 + 40mm is the same width and offset of a stock TII rim I believe. Don't ditch your FD wheels, they look gorgeous and I love the color. Fix the dent in your quarter panel and all is well Elite/ADR are about the same quality wheel.

Those rims are pretty sweet. Mine were $104 each.
For some reason I cant post a pic. The pics are too big, here is a link if anyone cares.

last time i checked, the Rota Torque was available in a 5 lug 114.3 for the FC3S. Maybe you have sources I don't. I think the same goes for the Rota Tarmac.

Don't go thinner man. I'm looking for rims too and have been going from 17x8 all around to 17x8 F and 17x9 ; back and forth. I was actually just looking at tires.com for some. I like these, 17x8, 17x9

stick with wheels that are at least 8" or more in width. that way you will at least be able to fit wider tires so the wheels will be an upgrade and not a downgrade.

7" wide wheel is retarded.

Best offset is when the outer edge of the wheel sits nice and flush with the lines of the fender/quarter panel. yep yep.

dotn listen to everyone, if you arent gonan run more than a 235, stick with the 7 inch rims. if you eventually go bigger then DONT do it on 7 inch rims. i think max you should go on a 7inch rim is 235.

235, IMO, is too big for 7 inch rims. I wouldn't go more than 215.... MAYBE 225. but I like the stretched look.. so 185 would be good

and, well, whatever man. the wheels look pretty cool from the side, but I like the look of a big fat tire stuck under the rear too, which you definetly won't be able to get with a 17x7. it'll just look tall and skinny.

everyone else has mentioned performance, so I won't. but do what you want. if you only care about looks in this case, then go for it.
